While a fixed price for a particular repair may sound attractive, the total charges can end up being more than the customer would have paid using an hourly rate structure! Why? Because computer problems can end up being complex and often times require the technician to work on different areas of the system.

For example, to correct the damage done by several virus types, not only does the virus have to be located and removed, but certain operating system files and settings may need to be restored. So while you may have been quoted the fixed price for a virus removal, when the technician arrives, trouble shoots the problem, and determines that parts of the operating system have been impacted, you will be charged the fixed price for BOTH the virus removal AND the operating system service. That’s right, you will be charged the full fixed price rate for the additional service even though the corrective action taken by the technician may have only taken 10 minutes!

Unlike other companies, Wicked I.T. publishes both a fixed price AND hourly rate for all services and offers you the cheaper of the two alternatives at the end of the service call! This approach limits the customer’s exposure in the case of extremely time consuming problems and prevents what amounts to “over charging” for straight forward repairs.
